Be In The World But not of It
Aum Sai Ram...
As I was wandering in the library today a book found me... Please read this amazing poem/experience from a book called "Sathya Sai Baba and Jesus Christ- A Gospel for The Golden Age" by Peter Phipps.
A VISION OF GOD
He walked by me everyday,
the one they call the Christ.
He blessed some, ignored others,
I don't know why.
I want to meet his eyes, to see the face of God.
But He did not see me,
He saw everyone else, not me, why not me?
Then one day, one wonderful day,
He stood close by.
I gazed into His face for a moment.
His eyes met mine.
In those eyes was Infinity.
More profound than space, More potent than the Sun,
All knowing, All seeing.
Like Adam I was naked before Him,
He saw me, what I am, what I could be,
What I have attained and where I have failed.
He saw my past, my present and my future.
He saw all my sins and blemishes. My ego and my pride.
He saw also what I can be in Him, If I only surrender to Him,
To give up my faults and errors, My ego and my pride.
His eyes held compassion for sorrows I bring on myself.
His eyes held Love for me despite who I am.
His eyes held the universe and all of us in it.
In His eyes I recognized my God, my Creator, my Master.
I saw also myself reflected as the image of God.
I felt my soul being drawn into His eyes, as if in a moment I could be one with Him,
Not the petty self anymore,
But a creature in whom God shines forth.
Then His eyes looked away, And my life was changed.
For one eternal, precious moment I saw Divinity.
I saw God, and He saw me.
His eyes turned away, but He still sees me.

Re: Be In The World But not of It
Oh my darling, you took me back in time ... when I too had read that particular book. That poem you have chosen from within its pages, is one that I recall hit me with an explosion of love, beautiful, divine, love. I claimed that particular poem as a sign for me, as I related to the innocence of devotion, and how my own life had changed since God took me into his sight on the ethereal realms.
Thank you my sweetness for taking me back to a time of youth in my relationship with GOD ... so that I can now see 'our' relationship has grown so strong and solid, and the divine love has not changed but it has become brighter as my awareness has been opened to the glory of His TRUTH.
