Smug PUT YOUR THINKING CAPS ON EVERYONE ...

Bad PC It appears we need more incentive to get members interaction within the forums message boards.

clever Apart from setting the points system at "one for one" for every post, and giving the member the option to become moderator after reaching the goal of 100 points,

... hmm can anyone else think of some good ideas to get more members to interact within the message boards.

Chat I would appreciate any and all ideas …angel

* a weekly (or fortnightly etc) bulletin - I get these from one of the Neale Donald Walsch websites - it has a blog of the week and links to interesting articles that have been posted

* Give the option to members of "jobs" to do each week - a certain topic that they are involved in or know about - they could do a post on it each week - eg. I could do one on the heartlights or CwG or whatever - I gave up with the Tao of Pooh - cause typing it up takes so long - so it needn't be long - just snapshots of other peoples interests or paths so that others could learn and get to know them better.

more coming hopefully......

Okay - a couple of more ideas

* I know it's hard - but maybe try to make some "times" to have discussions in the chat box.

* oh - and you know how you started that thing before about grandparents - maybe more of those questions to get people knowing each other better

Hmm...good question. I think that people want to contrast their views and learn about a variety of different topics. Basically, anything to get people talking. The problem with acceptance of everything, is that there's really nothing to say. Hehe.

Personally, if you posed questions to the members every week, I would be answering and responding and playing with that. Any excuse for something to play with for me and I'm there. Anyway, that's my take.

hug Thanks for all the great ideas ... now I guess its for me to put something into motion ... the bullentin thing sounds good ... as for the question/answer thingy, well I really find it hard to ask questions about things to start a convo ... lol ... so hopefully I can leave that to some of you members to start some questions rolling.

I think I will begin a bullentin on a monthly basis at first to see how it goes. I'll get to work on one for this month ... so any members that have any wonderful links or info to put in the bullentin please email me the info. I do hope you all have something to offer toward it. Smile

One more thing - in the scrolling topic list - can you raise the limit of messages that show here? If members aren't visiting alot, they may miss the topics that come up.

Also is it possible to make it go faster (probably only needed if you can raise the limit?
