Dialog
If I listen with an ear to the sky
the weeping cherry's sob is clear.
I ask, "why are you so sad.
Is it because the magnolia is
in danger of extinction;
the dogwood's tales
of Jesus' crucifixion on its limbs?
Perhaps you feel the Japanese maple
is more graceful?"
"No," she whispers as her petals
fall, gently brushing her branches.
"I am sad because these blooms
shower thoughts of my mortality."
the weeping cherry's sob is clear.
I ask, "why are you so sad.
Is it because the magnolia is
in danger of extinction;
the dogwood's tales
of Jesus' crucifixion on its limbs?
Perhaps you feel the Japanese maple
is more graceful?"
"No," she whispers as her petals
fall, gently brushing her branches.
"I am sad because these blooms
shower thoughts of my mortality."

Re: Dialog
This is such a delicate and graceful poem my dear Jon; Your words are like droplets of nectar that float onto my tongue, with the gentle breeze of life. The transience is null and void as I take those cherry blossoms into my heart where love is eternal, and sadness is dissipated by the truth of our eternal soul. Thank you darling for bringing this sweet, beauty and joy to my now.
