Sunnataram Forest Buddhist Monastry
Yesterday I went to the Sunnataram Forest Monastry with some friends
for lunch. It was a 90 min drive up to Bundannon (from Nowra) and we
found it no troubles.
Lunch is free but you can donate or can take food with you. The food
was awesome - so many new things to try - I think I ate about 6
different types of tofu (and I thought I didn't like Tofu - I guess
it has to be cooked properly!)
We had a walk around the place - they have little meditation places
and shrines all around the place. They are also building a Gratitude
Pagoda - which is an awesome structure - the grand opening I think is
next week - so it would be a good weekend to go!
The view is fantastic - over the mountains towards Jervis Bay - the
Abbot, Ven Phra Mana Viriyarampo - even had a joke with us - saying
that on a clear day, if you had good eyes, you could see the penguins
jumping! hehehe
It is very peaceful and worth a visit - next time I will do a weekend
retreat.
I have put some photos in the gallery for you to see.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us Glenda, I would love to go next weekend, and if I lived closer I would certainly make the effort to visit. I go now to look at your pics ... yah I love looking at pics. I miss chatting with you!
