And A Meadow Lark Sang _mg_7610

The child whispered, "God, speak to me"
And a meadow lark sang.
The child did not hear.

So the child yelled, "God, speak to me!"
And the thunder rolled across the sky
But the child did not listen.

The child looked around and said,
"God let me see you" and a star shone brightly
But the child did not notice.

And the child shouted,
"God show me a miracle!"
And a life was born but the child did not know.

So the child cried out in despair,
"Touch me God, and let me know you are here!"
Whereupon God reached down
And touched the child.

But the child brushed the butterfly away
And walked away unknowingly.

Wow, how well that can fit in the daily stresses of life. If we would just take that second to stop and notice what God is trying to say to us.

Thank you for this beautiful but sadly true, reminder...... Wink

yep I agree fhenix, God speaks to us all the time; to me the signs represent little miracles that are happening around us all the time, and it depends on how open we are in our faith and trust in God to see them;

I have posted another story now of a Childs letter to God, it is an inspirational reminder that by having the innocence of a child, with the faith in God, that miracles happen of all sizes. For me it has been the more the faith and trust I have, the bigger the miracle becomes.
