Awareness

i sit in my straight-backed chair
observing the elm
in the park across the way.

Rooted deeply
it speaks wooden words.

Once oblivious to its majesty,
it looks at me gratefully,

drinking in my presence-
like xylem flowing through its veins.

As i ponder
our ultimate sameness,
consciousness knows

we have always been
each other.

Awesome hun, how you have so easily shown the truth of life and beingness simply in the tree, that is too often overlooked as and forgotten as a living entity and particle of GOD and part of ONE.
... yes all is GOD, all is ONE. I so felt the gratitude of the Majestic Elm as its purpose to be seen and noticed in its glory and reality was taking place ... thank you for seeing me, you, us! hug
