Lakota Prayer

Just a little more about myself, I am also Native American. Since I have come back to the States I have reconnected with some of the family and they have been doing some digging into our Cherokee history. It seems we have it from 2 sides of the family now.

I have a site where I go to when I need some healing words and words of wisdom from the nativeness inside of me, this site does this and when I am feeling this need, I will post these prayers and poems for you to read, as if they help me, I am sure they can give solice to someone else. I will post the site on our page of recommended sites.

Lakota Prayer

Wakan Tanka, Great Mystery,
teach me how to trust
my heart,
my mind,
my intuition,
my inner knowing,
the senses of my body,
the blessings of my spirit.
Teach me to trust these things
so that I may enter my Sacred Space
and love beyond my fear,
and thus Walk in Balance
with the passing of each glorious Sun.

According to the Native People, the Sacred Space
is the space between exhalation and inhalation.
To Walk in Balance is to have Heaven (spirituality)
and Earth (physicality) in Harmony.

I've gone to check out that site fhenix and your right its an awesome site with heaps of inspirational material, excellent ... thanks so much for the referral... and for this beautiful prayer. Nice to know we have our own Native American in our "OM" family, Wink
